Burnt food on Swiss Diamond pan

Q Can you recommend how to clean burnt on food on Swiss Diamond Cookware?
A Burnt on food on any cookware is a problem, particularly non stick cookware as the burnt on food reduces the non stick properties of the pan. I have some Swiss Diamond cookware - I mainly use the Swiss Diamond Frying Pan as the surface is so hard - and I have found that the best way to really give the pan a good clean is to put about 1cm of water into the bottom of the pan, with lots of washing up liquid and boil gently for about 15 cms. Don't let the pan boil dry as this could damage your pan surface.
Let me know if the above works - it does rather depend on quite how heavy a carbon residue has built up on your pan.Sometimes is it just impossible to remove the whole layer if the pan has been repeated over heated.
