How do you rate the ceramic surface Green Pan Frying Pans?

Posting date: 14th July 2010 14:26

I have been testing a Green Pan Frying Pan at home for the last few weeks, in consideration of whether to stock them for customers.

I have been testing the Vienna range - one of the higher end Green Pan ranges.

Personally, if I compare it to the Gastrolux cookware, the surface is not as non stick. Gastrolux you really can cook omlettes without any fat and the washing up is still effortless. The Green pan does stick much more, and although, it is not that difficult to remove the food residue, I tend to leave it to soak in order to aid this process - something there is no need for with Gastrolux. Also the Green pan has internal rivets which are more difficult to clean around and less hygienic as food can get stuck around them. The Gastrolux does not have the internal rivets

So whilst I accept that Green Pan range have had a fantastic marketing effort, and they are quite a lot cheaper than the Gastrolux, I personally, am sticking with Gastrolux as it is a better product.
