Swiss Diamond Cookware and dishwashers

Swiss Diamond cookware is dishwasher safe, there is no question about that.
However, I would want to make the comment that a lot of dishwasher powders are really quite caustic and this can shorten the lifespan of non stick surfaces. Given how strong the Swiss Diamond cooking surface is, I am less concerned about this than for other non stick pans such as SKK or Gastrolux, but you do need to be aware of the issue. Personally, I handwash all my non stainless steel pots and pans, whatever the brand. I think that bakelite or manmade handles get extra wear in the dishwasher as well.
