Emile Henry Tagines and induction hobs

Posting date: 6th May 2010 20:16

Dear Mary

Thank you for your enquiry below.

We actually have a tagine on another of our websites that works with induction hobs. As this is an induction hob you do not need to use a diffuser. Here is the link to the Staub Cast Iron Tagine: http://www.the-saucepan.co.uk/productfamily.php/family__3418__Staub+Cast+Iron+Tagine+-+Induction

As you have a induction diffuser already you can then use the Emile Henry range of tagines without a problem. I have included the link to these below: http://www.the-saucepan.co.uk/productclass.php/class__888__Tagine

The thing to watch with a diffuser is that they can reduce the amount of heat energy reaching the tagine or pan by up to 25% so it may be better to go for the Staub tagine that does not require the diffuser.

Yours sincerely,

Matthew Wise

Hi! I really want to buy a tagine at some point as I love Moroccan style cooking, but we have an induction hob (no gas in our village). Can I use this item on this hob if I use a diffuser, before putting the tagine into the oven? Many thanks, Mary
