What is your best selling Saute Pan?

Posting date: 17th March 2010 21:47

The Gastrolux single handed saute pans in 28cm or 32cm are our best selling sauté pans, usually with a lid added on.

The 32cms Gastrolux Sauté pan is quite heavy. I have one at home and I am a tall, quite strong woman, but I can't carry it one-handed with food inside. So that is the drawback, particularly if you want to "toss" the sautéing food. But for large sautéed dishes for a big family dinner, you can't beat it. It is flexible enough to cook both sautéed potatoes, or (because of the higher sides) a more liquid based dish. I do my pasta tomato sauces in it after browning the onions garlic, mushrooms etc.

The Gastrolux 28cms Saute pan is more manageable in terms of weight, but isn't large enough for my purposes.

NB To return to the question, the Swiss Diamond saute pans were also very popular but these are in short supply at the moment, so I would not recommend them currently, simply because it is unclear when we are likely to have new stock. I am still hopeful that Swiss Diamond will supply me direct shortly so watch this space.
